Hidden away in the quiet village of Port Appin, Argyll, on the shores of Loch Linnhe and surrounded by the spectacular raw beauty of the magnificent West Coast of Scotland, you can find The Pierhouse hotel.  With breathtaking views to the islands of Lismore and Mull, our intimate family-run twelve bedroom hotel, bar and renowned Scottish Seafood Restaurant has won a fast-growing reputation as one of Argyll's most idyllic and romantic destinations. We pride ourselves on the freshness & quality of our seafood and local meats, sourcing virtually all of our produce locally.  We strive to offer our guests something different - a personal and relaxed family atmosphere, stunning location and deliciously fresh seafood and game.

The Pierhouse Hotel is perfectly situated from where guests can enjoy both the wildlife and a wide range of outdoor adventure activities.  We are a favourite destination for country sports enthusiasts, in particular deer stalking and fly fishing, which we offer on a small number of private estates.

There are fantastic walks in the area with stunning historic sites such as Castle Stalker, making us a much loved escape for artists, novelists, outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers, or for those simply wanting to relax in one of Scotland's most beautiful locations. The unique location of The Pierhouse Hotel in Argyll, right on the water's edge in what can only be described as one of the most beautiful locations in Scotland, attracts groups of people from all walks of life and in recent years has become a favourite overnight stop for many classic car & motorcycle groups touring Scotland.

We also offer a full range of Hotel facilities including a Finnish sauna and a highly recommended range of luxurious holistic massage treatments. 

Our 10 Moorings with marine facilities are available for the exclusive use of our patrons, making it an ideal location for all yachtsmen exploring this beautiful stretch of water and wishing to break their journey with a truly memorable place to eat and stay.
