Warm and welcoming
Warm and welcoming, the Ferry Bar and outside terrace looks directly out over Port Appin's pier and across Loch Linnhe to the island of Lismore and beyond. The bar takes its name from the foot passenger ferry to Lismore - there has been a ferry service from Port Appin since at least 1750.
The Ferry Bar's outside terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy the far-reaching views across the loch and watch the world go by. Teas, coffees, drinks and home baking are also available during the day - a great favourite with walkers, kayakers and cyclists visiting Port Appin.
Or book in and enjoy lunch or dinner at one of our terrace tables (with parasol) - see our menu here. To book a table on the Ferry Bar terrace, or in the Lismore Room or Seafood Restaurant, please call 01631 730302 or email email@example.com.
Please note that we are currently unable to serve food in the bar itself due to Covid-19 social distancing requirements.
The Pierhouse malt whisky selection
One of the highlights of the Ferry Bar is our comprehensive range of malt whiskies. These are carefully chosen to cater for most palates; click Pierhouse Malts to read more about our selection.
The Pierhouse gin selection
As well as featuring our old favourite gins, there's now an exciting world of new Scottish gins to explore. We could wax lyrical about the exquisite Lebanese mint in Daffy’s or the wonders of Shetland Reel distilled on the island of Unst – the most northerly inhabited island in the UK - or indeed the 100% Scottish juniper in Crossbill. But we’ll say no more and just let these fantastic Scottish gins speak for themselves. Click here to read more about our gin selection.
Spirits and liqueurs
Whether you are looking to complete your dining experience, or just to add a little special something to your visit, we also offer a full range of sherry, liqueurs and other spirits: download the Ferry Bar's list of liqueurs and spirits here.
As a vendor of alcoholic beverages The Pierhouse takes its responsibilities seriously. In view of legislation in Scotland in December 2014 lowering the level of alcoholic consumption permitted for drivers, and in the interests of promoting ‘responsible drinking’, The Pierhouse offers an extensive range of non-alcoholic drinks. Please ask at the Bar for more information.
