SHA 2014 Triple Awards

We are delighted that The Pierhouse received no fewer than three awards at this year's prestigious Scottish Hotel Awards ceremony held recently in Edinburgh. This year's Awards are all about the food and the relaxed, informal atmosphere that guests tell us makes The Pierhouse really special.

2014 Hotel Chef Medaille D'Or - Laura Milne, The Pierhouse

This award is a credit to all Laura's hard work and commitment to using the finest seasonal ingredients and working her magic to create wonderfully balanced dishes. It means a lot both to The Pierhouse team and to Laura herself - who plans to celebrate by treating her mum to a champagne afternoon tea at Andy Murray's newly opened 5 star Cromlix Hotel!

2014 Restaurant of the Year - Informal Dining Regional Winner

The judges were looking for "an exceptionally successful restaurant in a hotel, one with a casual atmosphere – but where the super-tasty food offered is founded on a smart interpretation of high-quality, carefully-sourced ingredients." That's just what we're aiming for at The Pierhouse so it's fantastic that we're this year's regional winners (Argyll & Lomond).

2014 Gold Medal Service Hospitality - Nick & Nikki Horne

We're very pleased to receive this award for our hospitality - but it's very much a team effort and we are very proud of the commitment and energy shown day-in-day-out by our wonderful team. Without their devotion, enthusiasm and sheer hard work, The Pierhouse would not be the success story that it is, so it's a profound thank you to the whole team from us both.
