Congratulations to our Head Chef, Sergejs Savickis, who received the Young Chef of the Year 2018 award at the Scottish Food Awards' Spring Awards held in King's Hall, Edinburgh last night. It was a fantastic night - the highlight of course was seeing Sergejs step up on to the stage to receive his award.
Sergejs has been at The Pierhouse since Hogmanay 2015 and became Head Chef in autumn 2017. Sergejs loves the West Coast and the abundance of seafood available on our doorstep. When we asked Sergejs what inspires him, the answer was simple - the seasons influence every dish he makes, as Sergejs brings together the freshest, local produce each season has to offer to create delicious dishes with flavours that work beautifully together. We are delighted that Sergejs has received recognition for his hard work and creativity at this year's Chef Awards.
