People have lots of ways of spoiling their mothers on Mother's Day - thoughtful gifts and cards whether bought or homemade, a family meal out or simply spending time together and showing that you care.
As children, we'd make mum breakfast in bed (just a simple cup of tea with toast & marmalade) and a little posie of snowdrops from the garden and a homemade card. As we became adults, Mother's Day became a good reason to take time out from our busy lives and meet up for a special lunch.
If dining out is how you like to spend Mother's Day with your family, you might like to take a look at our Mother's Day lunch menu - served in our restaurant. Head Chef, Laura Milne, has put together a delicious three course menu that brings together a mouth-watering selection of dishes using where possible seasonal, local produce. For starters, the warm salad of caramelised pear & asparagus caught my eye, but then the smoked haddock & prawn pancakes sound delicious too! For your main course, meat eaters will love the roast rib of Scottish beef or heather honey glazed belly of pork plus there's pan seared sea bass or a delicious baked aubergine dish too. Now, which dessert to choose - apple & rhubarb crumble, creme brulee or chocolate tart?
You can see the full Mother's Day Menu here> 2 courses are £16.95, 3 courses £21.95. Children's menu also available from £5.95. To book a table, call Reservations on 01631 730302.
Whatever you choose to do, we wish you an enjoyable Mother's Day on Sunday 15th March.
