Fly fishing at Inverawe

A fly fishing lesson, fresh clean air by the river Awe and a fine catch of rainbow trout - a grand day out for one Pierhouse guest.

Pierhouse guest, Mr Clark spent a day at Inverawe Fisheries recently to do some trout fishing and to receive some fly fishing tuition which we arranged for him with Inverawe. As soon as Fergus who had been teaching Mr Clark left, Mr Clark caught the fish in the photo. The photo was taken by Inverawe's photographer who was there taking shots for their new brochure - perhaps Mr Clark (or his brilliant catch) will appear in print next year? Contact The Pierhouse's Caroline if you'd like us to arrange a day for you at Inverawe Fisheries.

The Inverawe Smokehouse (between Taynuilt and Loch Awe) is a popular day out for The Pierhouse guests - with plenty to do aside from the trout and salmon fishing. There's the Inverawe visitor centre, nature trails by the river Awe, tearoom, Inverawe Smokehouse's gourmet shop and Smokery exhibition. Read more here.
