Making the islands and lochs more accessible than ever - from the end of our pier! Based in Oban the journey to the islands is a really enjoyable experience in an 11 metre cabined Redbay R.I.B providing a safe, dry, comfortable environment in which to relax and take in the scenery and wildlife along the west coast.

Private charters for groups of up to 12 people can include wildlife excursions around the Isle of Lismore, into nearby Loch Creran and Loch Etive or up to Tobermory (Balamory!) on the Isle of Mull. Coastal Connections can also take you down the coast to the islands of Islay and Jura, travelling through the famous Corryvreckan whirlpool.

Motor boat trips with Linnhe Marine

In conjunction with our near neighbours at Linnhe Marina, The Pierhouse Hotel Motor can arrange boat trips from a safe, sheltered bay on Loch Linnhe. Trips can be arranged throughout the Lynn of Lorne with its castles, prehistoric sites, secluded bays and islands, and to the islands of Luing, Seil and Easdale. Children are welcome.

Starting from Easdale Harbour, Seil Island, trips on our high speed all weather 300hp turbocharged RIBs take you to large colonies of seals, seabirds including guillemots, kittewakes, shags, golden and sea eagles, as well as regular sitings of porpoises, dolphins and the occasional minke whale. Trips include group bookings or private charter.

Sea-life wildlife boat trips

The Firth of Lorn Special Area of Conservation offers outstanding natural beauty, uninhabited islands, dramatic sea cliffs and rich feeding grounds for whales, dolphins, porpoises as well as excellent sightings of seals, otters, deer, wild goats, eagles, buzzards and falcons.

Starting from Balvicar, Isle of Seil, Sea-Life uses a 900hp Porpoise II charter day boat. Trips include a Scottish Wildlife Trust Reserve, a National Scenic Area and a Special Area of Conservation. Sealife Adventures works closely with The Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust.
