The Ferry Bar
Superb bar food served from 12.30pm throughout the day during the summer months until 9pm. The Lunch Bar Menu changes to an Evening Bar Menu at 5pm. Hot drinks and bakery are served all day.
Warm and welcoming, the Ferry Bar looks directly out over Port Appin's pier and across Loch Linnhe to the island of Lismore and beyond. Taking its name from the foot ferry to Lismore (there has been a ferry service from Port Appin since at least 1750) the Ferry Bar offers full lunch and evening bar menus throughout the summer.
On balmy summer days, take advantage of The Bar's outside terrace to enjoy a meal in the sun with stunning views down the Lynn of Lorne; on colder days, enjoy the view from inside with our solid fuel stoves keeping you warm and snug.
You will find the same dedication to quality food in our Ferry Bar menus as is featured in our award winning Seafood Restaurant. Our bar menus use local produce whenever possible and offer a range of seafood, meat and vegetarian options. You can read our lunch bar menu here, and our evening bar menu here. The Ferry Bar also offers teas, coffees, drinks and home baking during the day, a great favourite with walkers, kayakers and cyclists visiting Port Appin.
One of the highlights of the Ferry Bar is our comprehensive range of malt whiskies. These are carefully chosen to cater for most palates; click Pierhouse Malts to read more about our selection.
