Trip Advisor Excellence at The Pierhouse
The Pierhouse Hotel and Seafood Restaurant is delighted to announce that it has been awarded a prestigious Certificate of Excellence from review site Trip Advisor, for the second successive year.
TripAdvisor awards this certificate only to properties which consistently receive the highest ratings from members, so it's a real boost to know that so many of you have enjoyed your time at The Pierhouse and have taken the time to say so.
So it's many thanks to all of you - we hope you'll be able to come back and visit us again soon!
The Pierhouse wins Best Seafood Dining Award for Scotland
We are over the moon to have received two prestigious awards for The Pierhouse at the Scottish Hotel Awards 2012 which took place in Glasgow on 20 May 2012 - Seafood Dining Award and a Hospitality Gold Medal.
The Seafood Dining Award is the only one in its category awarded which makes this an even more significant achievement by the Pierhouse team. This award very much helps to further strengthen the message that the food we serve is fantastic quality fresh seafood straight from the loch complemented by local game and seasonal vegetables. I would like to thank all the members of the public who took the time to vote for us.
We are also delighted that our Operations Manager, Caroline Willis, (pictured right) has received a Hospitality Gold Medal at the Scottish Hotel Awards - this award is much deserved recognition of Caroline's hard work and commitment to customer service.

We were delighted last year to be awarded Winner: Romantic Restaurant Award 2011 at The Scottish Hotel Awards. Time flies by and it's time already for this year's Awards - the 2012 Awards Night ceremony will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Thistle, Glasgow on 20th May.

Best for Seafood in The Times' 30 best beach hotels
The Pierhouse Hotel is named 'Best for Seafood' in The Times review of Britain's Thirty Best Beach Hotels (The Times, 3 March 2012)
The review reads "Overlooking a narrow shingle beach on the sea loch, Loch Linnhe, The Pierhouse is a family-run hotel with great service. It has 12 rooms with a light, Scandinavian feel and is winning accolades for the associated restaurant, which serves seafood and game. Everything is locally sourced, from hand-picked Lismore oysters to Loch Linnhe langoustines."

The Pierhouse: Romantic Restaurant Winners
We're absolutely delighted to have been awarded Winner: Romantic Restaurant Award 2011 at The Scottish Hotel Awards. The Pierhouse Operations Manager Caroline Willis joined over 450 hoteliers in the Grand Ballroom of the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow for the ceremony, regarded as the “Scottish hotel Oscars”.
"It was a really enjoyable night out" said Caroline, "but more importantly it is always a pleasure to win recognition for the hard work put in by all our team to make dining at the Pierhouse a truly special experience." You can even catch a brief glimpse of Caroline receiving the award on the official Scottish Hotel Awards Youtube video (see right) - she pops up at 1m54s!
